Rankings reflect clean, non-personalized queries and may differ from what any individual user sees. AdvisorFinder is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Perplexity; their names and logos identify the tools we test.
This board ranks independent RIA firms only. National wirehouses, banks, broker-dealers, and asset managers — Morgan Stanley, Merrill, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Vanguard, and similar — are out of scope by design: they compete in a different category, and their household-brand ubiquity in AI answers would turn an independent-advisor ranking into a big-brand recognition contest. Independent advisor teams affiliated with those institutions are evaluated as their own firms.
Scores and ranks are recomputed each edition from a fixed query library. Because assistant outputs vary run to run, small movement between editions is expected — rank changes outside the top 25 are shown as approximate. See the full methodology, or request a correction.
